Anna's Eyes partners with existing, on-the-ground healthcare and childcare operations in developing nations to:
Stabilize—help meet their immediate resource and operational needs;
Mobilize—gather the necessary hands and minds for stabilization and new projects;
Visualize—tell the story of the need and the redevelopment plan ;and
Revitalize—create a long-term redevelopment strategy to ensure greater sustainability.
The inspiration for Anna's Eyes comes from an amazing story of sacrifice and love. Anna is a young girl from Sacramento, California, who has given up the normal experiences of a college-age student to invest her life in the hurting and malnourished children of Haiti.
Anna's Eyes is currently working alongside Anna and Real Hope for Haiti, Inc., in Cazale, Haiti, about 18 miles north of Port au Prince, to help resupply them with vital medical, nutritional, and operational resources that were devastated by the recent earthquakes and to develop a long-term strategy to strengthen their facility/land design, infrastructure design (solar panels, back-up generators, clean water sources), and community planning efforts.
